The Qwstion story started in 2008, when Sebastian Kruit joined forces with the creative dynamic of Swiss industrial designers Christian Kaegi and Fabrice Aeberhard, graphic designer Matthias Graf and Hannes Schoenegger. Searching for a bag that closes the gap between functional sports bags and elegant fashion bags, the focus was put on the integration of functionality in a distinctive visual language. The collection is positioned between high-fashion and functional utility, each bag works for business as well as for leisure. With multiple carrying options, these bags offer lots of flexibility, which makes life easier.
Qwstion bags are designed and developed in a studio in Zürich, Switzerland. Production then takes place in the city of Huizhou which is located in Hong Kong. Since 2009, the brand has been working with a small factory that’s run by its owners.
Qwstion maintains a critical attitude towards the conditions of production in China, but ultimately they have found the right partners there to support their goal of making quality products at reasonable prices for a global clientele. The factory is a member of BSCI (Business and Social Compliance Initiative), an EU initiative that implements European standards in terms of working conditions and ecological aspects in Non-EU countries. Suppliers are personally visited on a regular basis to work on developments and check in on all production stages. In addition, the bags are tested by TÜV Rheinland in Germany.
