Portuguese Flannel

Founded by 4th generation fabric manufacturers, brothers Manuel and Antonio Magalhães in Porto, Northern Portugal, Portuguese Flannel does one thing and one thing only: high-quality flannel. And boy do they do it well. Each shirt is produced with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship, a term often used but rarely so effortlessly carried out. The inspiration for Portuguese Flannel shirts comes from the surrounding region and the people that live within. By blending this traditional expertise and contemporary aesthetic, produces shirts that look and feel great whilst telling our story of Portuguese heritage.

Fabrics are manufactured by mastercraftsmen in Northern Portugal, who use a nap technique to meticulously brush the cloth to raise fiber ends resulting in an extremely soft texture. The brand's mills are situated in and around the city of Guimarães, Portugal, a city renowned for its quality mills and textile industry. Portugal and family history played a central role in the creation of Portuguese Flannel. Much more than the backdrop for creating an identity, Portuguese Flannel aims to elevate Portuguese knowledge to a place from where it was forgotten – a place of value and authenticity.
