Introduced in late 1945 following Gruen’s wartime marketing campaign centered around Pan American World Airways Clipper pilots, the "Ace" was one of the most prominent models in the popular civilian Pan Am series. Designed with a distinct aviation and military influence, it features a dual-tone dial with a 24-hour inner chapter track and a signature red central sweep seconds hand. The watch is cased in a 10K gold-filled with characteristic winged/contoured lugs and houses the reliable, slim-profile Veri-Thin 420SS manual-wind caliber.
