1950s Longines Sector Dial

An elegant example of Longines’ mid-century watchmaking, this reference 2030 features a beautifully balanced two-tone sector-style dial with a crosshair layout and central sweeping seconds. Its approximately 34 mm case has the refined proportions expected of a 1950s dress watch, while the elongated lugs give it a surprisingly contemporary presence on the wrist.

Inside is the Longines calibre 19AS, an early in-house full-rotor automatic movement. Its unusual cam-and-rocker winding system represents a fascinating transitional stage between bumper automatics and the more conventional rotor mechanisms that followed. The movement provides approximately 38 hours of power reserve and can also be wound manually. Presented on an 18 mm leather strap. No original box or papers.
