Portuguese Flannel
Founded by 4th generation fabric manufacturers, brothers Manuel and Antonio Magalhães in Porto, Northern Portugal, Portuguese Flannel does one thing and one thing only: high-quality flannel. And boy do they do it well. Each shirt is produced with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship, a term often used but rarely so effortlessly carried out.
Fabrics are manufactured by mastercraftsmen in Northern Portugal, who use a nap technique to meticulously brush the cloth to raise fiber ends resulting in an extremely soft texture. The brand's mills are situated in and around the city of Guimarães, Portugal, a city renowned for its quality mills and textile industry. Portugal and family history played a central role in the creation of Portuguese Flannel. Much more than the backdrop for creating an identity, Portuguese Flannel aims to elevate Portuguese knowledge to a place from where it was forgotten – a place of value and authenticity.
